Welcome to CSLA's Librarianship Course
All libraries encounter obstacles from time to time, but faith-based libraries face many challenges unique to a congregational setting. Budgetary stinginess born of lack of recognition as to just how powerful a library can be as a ministerial tool tends to put constraints on the effectiveness of most congregational libraries. In such a setting, the knowledge and creativity of a congregational librarian will lessen the impact of limitations.
This course is designed to fill the gaps left by such impediments by equipping the librarian with the skills necessary to maximize any congrgational library's potential. This course will provide helpful information for librarians of all levels of expertise, from the novice librarian creating a new congregational library from scratch, to those with a few years' experience who wish to expand their operational knowledge, to the seasoned veteran wishing to hone their skills even further.
